House pilsner beer, made with floor malted German malts, Czech Saaz hops, and organic lager yeast. Double step mash, spunded fermentation for natural carbonation, and lagered cold. Crisp, floral, traditional.

2 - COFFEECAKE, BLONDE ALE

Our house blonde ale, made with locally roasted Portage Coffee from Kaffe Havn Roastery, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon. Reminiscent of slicing into a piece of your favorite morning coffee cake with a cup of medium roast coffee alongside it.

3 - DUE NORTH, LIGHT LAGER

Brewed with a complex blend of American malts, Czech Saaz hops, and fermented cold using our house lager yeast. Due North provides equal parts crushability and complexity, with subtle floral and grassy aromatics. Whether you’re heading out to explore the forest or lake, Due North Light Lager is your perfect beer companion.

4 - NORTH OF SCHWARZ, BLACK LAGER

Our take on the traditional Schwarz bier. Light-bodied, easy-drinking, packed with complex notes of dark chocolate, coffee roast, and bits of caramel.

5 - LONGEST WAY HOME, WOOD AGED DARK LAGER

ABV: 5.7% / IBU: 25 / MALTS: VIENNA, MUNICH, PILSNER, CARAMEL 60, BEACHWOOD SMOKED MALT

Inspired by a campfire in the North woods on a cold night, this beer was designed to warm you up. Using a complex malt of German malts, saaz hops, and fermented on maple wood, this beer is packed with complex notes of warm bread, subtle smoke, and wood tannins.

6 - SUNGLO, TROPICAL TART ALE

Brewed with mango, pineapple, lime, and coconut - let this tropical tart ale take you some place warm. Lightly acidity, with a juicy and tropical medley for fruits, and a soft candy quality from the coconut.

7 - PINE LINE, WEST COAST IPA

House West Coast IPA recipe, with some modern advancements made to push hop character throughout the beer. Big aromatics of pine needles and orange blossom with assertive bitterness for balance. Made with hand selected Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe Cryo, Chinook, and Cascade hops.

8 - IMPERIAL PINE LINE, WEST COAST DIPA

A story that's needed to be written, since we started making West Coast DIPA. Our core West Coast IPA, Pine Line, has become one of our top selling beers, packed with crisp aro matics of dank pine and resin. In Imperial Pine Line, we doubled just about everything in the recipe, leaving you with an even bigger IPA experience.

9 - LAKEFELLOW, JUICY IPA

ABV: 6% / IBU: 50 / HOPS: NELSON SAUVIN, CITRA, CASHMERE CRYO / MALT: PILSNER, 2 ROW, UNMALTED WHEAT, FLAKED WHEAT, FLAKED OATS, CARAFOAM

A beer fitted for your lake adventures ahead. Fermented with kolsch yeast for a soft juicy profile, followed by careful additions of Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Cashmere Cryo. Tropical, with subtle notes of tangerine and sauv blanc grapes, for a complex, crushable little IPA.

10 - LOST 40, NEW ENGLAND IPA

ABV: 7% / IBU: 35 / HOPS: CITRA, NELSON, MOSAIC, AMARILLO CRYO / MALT: PILSNER, 2 ROW, UNMALTED WHEAT, FLAKED OATS, CARAFOAM

One of our all-time favorite hazy IPAs is back. Made with hand selected Citra, Mosaic, Nelson, and Amarillo Cryo. Juicy aromatics of orange julius and tangerine peel.

11 -JUICETREE, NEW ENGLAND DIPA

ABV: 8% / IBU: 40 / HOPS: CITRA CRYO, MOSAIC CRYO, GALAXY

A recipe from our earliest days. Very soft base beer with a careful blend of unmalted wheat, flaked wheat, and flaked oats, followed by a heavy dose of hand selected Citra, Mosaic Cryo, and Galaxy hops. Very juicy, with notes of tangerine peel and mango pulp.

12 - DOUBLE COFFEECAKE, PASTRY STOUT

We doubled everything that normally goes into our flagship Coffeecake Pastry Blonde Ale recipe. Brewed with a myriad of dark malts, combined with our house Portage Coffee bean, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and ceylon cinnamon. Rich, decadent, with notes of sweet cream, espresso, and cinnamon.

13 - SHORES OF TIME, BARREL AGED IMPERIAL PASTRY STOUT

ABV: 10.5% / IBU: 35 / MALT: PALE ALE, PALE CHOCOLATE, CARAFA 3 SPECIAL, FLACKED OATS

Simplicity from time, a deletion of overly complicated parts, a vision built over years. Brewed with extra pale, oat, and roasted malts, then aged in single malt whiskey barrels for a year. After blending, we added toasted coconut, toasted cacao nibs, and vanilla beans taking this beer exactly where we needed it to go. The end result is a complex beer made simply, with decadent notes of warming whiskey, cocoa, and coconut candies.

14 - MAD AT MIDNIGHT, BARREL AGED MOLE PASTRY STOUT

ABV: 10% / IBU: 35 / MALT: PALE ALE, MARIS OTTER, MALTED OATS, PALE CHOCOLATE, CARAFA 3 SPECIAL, MALTODEXRIN

This award winning beer is comprised of 12 month old Heaven Hill Bourbon barrel aged stout beer, with careful additions of ancho chiles, toasted cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and ceylon cinnamon added after our blend. Rich, tannic, with warming notes of chocolate cake with cinnamon powder, followed by a slight heat to warm everything up at the end.

A collaboration between Cedar & Stone Nordic Sauna and Portage Brewing Company, bringing you the first of its kind, a sparkling botanical water designed to celebrate sauna culture in all forms. The ingredients used in this rehydrating beverage were inspired by our experiences in Northern Minnesota’s winter cold and the countless hours of time spent inside saunas that always followed. Aromatics of fresh spruce and awakening spices, with a thirst quenching acidity of citrus fruits to keep everything in balance. Lightly carbonated, and best served cold.
