House pilsner beer, made with floor malted German malts, Czech Saaz hops, and organic lager yeast. Double step mash, spunded fermentation for natural carbonation, and lagered cold. Crisp, floral, traditional.

2 - COFFEECAKE, BLONDE ALE

Our house blonde ale, made with locally roasted Portage Coffee from Kaffe Havn Roastery, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon. Reminiscent of slicing into a piece of your favorite morning coffee cake with a cup of medium roast coffee alongside it.

3 - DUE NORTH, LIGHT LAGER

ABV: 4.2% / IBU: 18 / MALTS: PILSNER, PALE MALT, CARAFOAM

Brewed with a complex blend of American malts, Czech Saaz hops, and fermented cold using our house lager yeast. Due North provides equal parts crushability and complexity, with subtle floral and grassy aromatics. Whether you’re heading out to explore the forest or lake, Due North Light Lager is your perfect beer companion.

4 - AS OLD AS TIME, WOOD AGED VIENNA LAGER

ABV: 5.4% / IBU: 25 / MALTS: PILSNER, VIENNA, MUNICH, CARAFA 3 SPECIAL / HOPS: CZECH SAAZ

This lager rides the good line between tradition and innovation. Utilizing all German malts, Czech Saaz hops, and Augesteiner lager yeast, but co-fermented with locally made maple wood. The entire fermentation underwent slight transformation from the wood, complementing the beer with notes of honey, graham crackers, maple, and cacao. Crushable yet complex - a mainstay lager for the winter season.

5 - EVERY PIECE MATTERS, BIRCH WOOD MAIBOCK

ABV: 5.9% / IBU: 35 / MALTS: BARKE PILSNER, BARKE VIENNA, AROMATIC MALT, BARKE MUNICH MALT, CARAFA 3 SPECIAL

A collaboration with our buds at Bemidji Brewing. We came together to concoct a brand new recipe, using some high quality heirloom malts from Germany, a fresh and aromatic Saphir hop, and co-fermented with a pitch of their lager yeast and yellow birch wood. Expect complex notes of warm bread, complex malts, and subtle tannins from the birch wood.

6 - PINE LINE, WEST COAST IPA

ABV: 7.1% / IBU: 65 / HOPS: MOSAIC, MOSAIC CRYO, SIMCOE CRYO, CASCADE, CHINOOK / MALT: 2 ROW, PALE MALT, CARAFOAM

House West Coast IPA recipe, with some modern advancements made to push hop character throughout the beer. Big aromatics of pine needles and orange blossom with assertive bitterness for balance. Made with hand selected Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe Cryo, Chinook, and Cascade hops

7 - LAKEFELLOW, JUICY IPA

ABV: 6% / IBU: 50 / HOPS: NELSON SAUVIN, CITRA, CASHMERE CRYO / MALT: PILSNER, 2 ROW, UNMALTED WHEAT, FLAKED WHEAT, FLAKED OATS, CARAFOAM

A beer fitted for your lake adventures ahead. Fermented with kolsch yeast for a soft juicy profile, followed by careful additions of Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Cashmere Cryo. Tropical, with subtle notes of tangerine and sauv blanc grapes, for a complex, crushable little IPA.

8 - LOST 40, NEW ENGLAN IPA

One of our all-time favorite hazy IPAs is back. Made with hand selected Citra, Mosaic, Nelson, and Amarillo Cryo. Juicy aromatics of orange julius and tangerine peel.

9 - JUICETREE, NEW ENGLAND DIPA

ABV: 8% / IBU: 40 / HOPS: HAND SELECTED CITRA, CITRA CRYO, MOSAIC CRYO, GALAXY / MALT: PILSNER, 2 ROW, UNMALTED WHEAT, FLAKED WHEAT, FLAKED OATS, CARAFOAM

Very soft base beer with a careful blend of unmalted wheat, flaked wheat, and flaked oats, followed by a heavy dose of hand selected Citra, Mosaic Cryo, and Galaxy hops. Very juicy, with notes of tangerine peel and mango pulp.

10 - YEAR SEVEN, SUPER HOP BLEND DIPA (ANNIVERSARY BEER)

Our official birthday beer, and a recipe we used seven different hops to celebrate our seventh year around the sun. We brewed up a compilation of our favorite hazy IPA hops over the years, targeting a full, tropical recipe. Citra Cryo, Mosaic Cryo, Amarillo Cryo, Riwaka, Nelson, Cashmere, and Sabro hops were used to push all kinds of citrus, pineapple, and mango oils into this beer.

11 - DOUBLE COFFEECAKE, PASTRY STOUT

We doubled everything that normally goes into our flagship Coffeecake Pastry Blonde Ale recipe. Brewed with a myriad of dark malts, combined with our house Portage Coffee bean, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, and ceylon cinnamon. Rich, decadent, with notes of sweet cream, espresso, and cinnamon.

12 - FAMILY RECIPE, CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE PASTRY STOUT (ANNIVERSARY BEER)

A recipe from generations past, finally making its way into a beer for our anniversary. This base oatmeal imperial stout, served as the perfect base for the adjuncts we threw into this. Cocoa powder, cacao nibs, vanilla beans, butterscotch, and vanilla beans, drive this warming and complex stout, perfect for any 21+ family occasion.

13 - BARREL AGED GREAT NORTHERN WIND, IMPERIAL STOUT

Last year we landed ourselves some of our favorite rye whiskey barrels from Templeton, and sent some of our best barrel aging base stout to rest. The end result, a rich and decadent stout, with all kinds of complexities from the barrel. No adjuncts here, just a celebration of beer barrel.

SAUNA WATER, BOTANICAL SPARKLIKNG WATER $4 POUR NON-ALCOHOLIC A collaboration between Cedar & Stone Nordic Sauna and Portage Brewing Company, bringing you the first of its kind, a sparkling botanical water designed to celebrate sauna culture in all forms. The ingredients used in this rehydrating beverage were inspired by our experiences in Northern Minnesota’s winter cold and the countless hours of time spent inside saunas that always followed. Aromatics of fresh spruce and awakening spices, with a thirst quenching acidity of citrus fruits to keep everything in balance. Lightly carbonated, and best served cold.
